You are mostly fucked by snipers or boomers who can one shot easily, very annoyingYeah that's what got me restarting most of the time, that and being blown up by tickers who seem to at any random point fly literally all across the map and kill me. Patience is key, overall insane is pretty easy with jack, so i would say doable without him. I must just really suck at this game, how is the game even remotely completable on insane without Jack, and then it needs to be deathless as well? Can't believe a Gears game doesn't have a walkthrough on this siteit is possible, just abuse restarts (restart act, restart checkpoint, restart chapter when somebody dies) with jack or without. Must be possible, seeing as a lot of people have truly 100%'d this beast, but I can't help but wonder how many accounts have popped it by reverse engineering the game and finding an exploit or using mods.
There are just too many factors at any given point in the first two acts that can ruin an insane run entirely. It's ridiculous, but starting to make sense why there are little to no video guides for this. Some of the levels are so unpredictable and have taken me days to finish, and I'm just stuck on Act 2 Chapter 8 where 2 shotgunners spawn on the right and can't be killed quick enough to make a difference, a metric asston of grubs coming from the front who overwatch me constantly and prevent movement on an already extremely limited playing field, and tickers and other nasties from the left, as mentioned above, who can fly at any given notice into your face for an instant death.
F that, doing an Ironman run on beginner to get that out the way first and learn the game more. Now to go and finish off Xcom 2 and Spaceland :) I think you can officially say I have completed this game. checking the stats I have played this game for about 260 hours. I finished all of this with 98% of Grubpocalyse, so I grinded a Control mission for 40 minutes to make sure I had the extra 200 kills :) 2 of them requiring an Insane run (with no deaths). THEN for the past week I had 4 cheevo's left. Then picked up on of my old Intermediate saved and re-skilled my squad for specific cheevos (3x explodes, revive and rampage etc) I did a casual playthrough on Intermediateĭid a Jacked run on Experienced (Making sure to get the brumak cheevo I missed first time)ĭid a classic run on Beginner for IronMan Cheevo then grinded for Legendary gearĭid another run on Jacked Intermediate and Grinded Vet Missions for Supreme gear This was a great game and I have sunk too many hours into it.
Just finished off the last 200 kills I needed for "Grubpocalypse" and Seriously Tactical.
